and with the general busy-ness of the fall season all around us – there is a place where we can all come together - reflect and pray, gain strength and nourishment. There’s a place where we can worship our God as we spoke about during this month’s Gathering week. Yup, you guessed it! Mass!
We have a L.I.G.H.T. Mass this weekend at 9:30am. While we’re there, we’ll hear stories that will help us to reflect upon and make sense of the craziness around us. Here’s a preview:
In the first reading, we will hear the story of a prophet who expresses the same question we have all asked at one time or another: Why do bad things happen to good people? In the second reading, we’ll hear the apostle Paul explain that - to live the life of a Christian requires great courage. And in the Gospel we’ll be challenged to increase our faith, to not just wait around for something good to happen, but to take the steps necessary to do it ourselves. All three lessons are valuable and applicable in our world today!
All that and the Eucharist too!
And here’s a gift for those of us parents who might need an extra trick up our sleeve to get a child/teen out of bed on Sunday! Take a look at this short video with them; it was made for teens, but really speaks to us all!
Hope to see you on Sunday!
Enjoy the weekend!
